August 16, Friday: Welcome Back Students - Let’s Get This Party Started!

The dress code for the night is Boogie, Oggie, Oggie! As a matter of fact, we will be hosting a 70’s fashion show this night with fun prizes for the winners! Bring out those groovy bell bottoms, platform shoes, picks for your ‘fro, and oversized collars so we can “get down on it.” Or strut your favorite rock concert t-shirt or anything else that is throwback attire to gear up for a night of fun.

Friday Gathering is Dutch Treat (No Fee's for Friday's Event)

Friday 5:00 - 6:30 pm - Bring back the glory of cruising the strip!

Hey, come on, come on and take a ride, there’s a party over here and that ain’t no jive! Calling all “party people” to cruise the strip like back in the day! Be creative and decorate your car so we can show Cheyenne what fun really looks like!

Meet up at Lions Park in the parking lot next to the baseball fields  - this is our departure location at 5:30. Everyone is invited to come along this “fantastic voyage” and party on with our “on purpose” police escort.

Friday 6:30 pm - 11:00 pm - Mingle & Catch Up with Old Friends (Westby Edge Bar)

After cruising the strip, we will ease on down the road and meet up at Westby Edge (www.westbyedge.com), located at 714 West 20th Street.

Festivities will include bites, booze, and funky dance moves. Westby Edge Brewery offers a full-service bar, a bar menu and extends great ambiance to all who enter!  Grab a drink and some nibbles and dance the night away to the smooth sounds of “Avenue” who has been rocking Cheyenne for decades. This local band of talented musicians know how to keep the crowd dancing and singing and moving to the grooving! That’s the way, uh huh, uh huh, we like it! This night is all about the vibes and high energy each of us add to the reunion!

August 17,  Saturday – “Celebrate Good Times” at The Cheyenne Country Club, 800 Stinner Road

Let’s create lasting memories while enjoying a delicious meal with another evening of “live music” at our dinner / dance shake down. The Cheyenne Country Club has been very flexible and accommodating to make sure we will have a night to remember. Dress to impress – but definitely not formal!

Saturday's Event (Requires a Ticket)

Saturday  4:00 pm - 5:00 pm Country Club Cocktail Hour (cash bar)

No matter what you call it – beer o’clock, social hour, an hour to get happy, make sure to be there! Come and quench your thirst with a frosty mug, your favorite spirit, or mocktail. Have fun mingling with new and old friends until dinner is served.

Saturday  5:00 pm - 7:00 pm – Seated Dinner and Tribute to Mr. Godfrey

Meals always seem to taste better in the presence of "framily” (friends who are like family). It’s time to gather, break bread, and enjoy a delicious plated dinner.  During dinner, we shall pay a heartfelt tribute to our beloved principal, Mr. James Godfrey. We shall also have a special toast in remembrance of our departed classmates that we lost along the way.

Saturday  7:00 pm - 10:30 pm - The Boogie Machine

It’s time to put on your Boogie Shoes!

Our last reunion was so successful, this year’s reunion committee had to put our heads together to think of how we could possibly compare or top our last gathering? Without further ado, our committee members are thrilled to announce the evening will start off with a set of music from Ronnie Raygun and the Big 80’s (Ronnie Raygun | Eighties Tribute Band - Ronnie Raygun and the Big Eighties).

Then, we are going to throw it back another decade with a set of music from Boogie Machine!

With great appreciation we would like to give Class of 1979 fellow classmate, Jim Casey, President of Halladay Motors a big “thank you” for generously sponsoring the band for the evening. We would also like to give a big shout out of appreciation to Class of 1980 fellow classmate, Alex Aragon and other generous donors for providing the “seed money” to get the party rolling!

We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces, reminiscing, and creating new memories. Let’s eat, drink and be merry!
